We are so close I can feel it all throughout.
We are weeks away from moving and I’m feeling all kinds of emotions at this point. Happy, excited, sad, hopeful, anxious, and even scared. I’m happy for this road to come to an end in building. I want nothing more than for Daniel to relax and enjoy what he has worked so hard for. I’m happy to soon have our Sunday’s back to family day and not watching Daddy work and our endless trips to Home Depot and Lowe’ s. (Although Danny LOVES those trips) I’m excited to start new routines at home, with Danny’s new school, and just being outdoors more. I’m sad to say goodbye to Danny’s school, his therapists, and most of all our current home. We have made some UNFORGETTABLE memories here; however, I know we will do just the same at our new home. I’m also feeling very hopeful that our current house will sell. It has a lot to offer! While the days creep closer I’m getting more and more anxious. Anxiously excited to get all of our stuff moved in and also anxiously scared for Danny’s transition. I feel as if the moving into the house will be a pretty smooth transition, the new school is what I’m worried about. Keep your finger’s crossed for us. Change is sometimes hard for Danny.

Just Danny and I went to the house today. We played around, drop off some material and had lunch. It was another steamy day up there! Call me crazy but I can’t wait for snow!
Our painter started some of the rooms and they look so nice; however, there are a couple mix up’s in color as to what room what supposed to be what color. So that has to get switched.
Our granite is installed but we had a little pickle in that department as well. Our plan was to have a bench off the backside of the kitchen island to be furnished for seating. Then, have a table and chairs that came up next to it. Well our granite friends put a slab of granite where it was just supposed to just be wood. Oops. Nobody and nothing is perfect, right? The color in the kitchen was one of the rooms that was mixed up. This color was supposed to be for our powder room. This will soon change. We ended up needing to pick another granite piece for our island because the initial one we chose didn’t come that big in size. In the end I think it’s a nice accent. It’s hard to tell in pictures but it also has the same blue iridescence look to it just like the white granite. We ordered some pendants for above our kitchen island. They come in brushed nickel which has me super excited because that will match well with our appliances and sink fixture. They should be in next week!
I just can’t get over the amount of light that comes through this house. I don’t think we’ll need ANY lights on EVER during the day. That makes me super happy! Ekk!
Our steps are stained but a little dusty. Obviously they will need touch up’s elsewhere as well but it’s getting there. They also stained the railing post and they will be getting installed shortly.
Danny’s bathroom is coming along. I ordered a 3 light vanity fixture for his bathroom that should be arriving next week. I’m praying it blends right in his room. I’m thinking, YES! 🙂 Here is a short clip of Danny’s bathroom I took today. The vanity is in but not installed yet and is also waiting for it’s granite piece.
Our Master bath is coming along as well. They had to remove the tub to put the granite around the top so that has to be reset. We also ordered our light fixture for our master bath vanity. That is also due to arrive next week. The vanity is installed but is just waiting for the granite top. We also purchased the matching mirrors that went with this vanity. I can’t wait to see it all put together!
All of our upstairs fans are ready to be installed. Monday our carpet will be installed. Daniel will be digging a trench this weekend for the cable and internet to be ran. He is saving us about $1,800 by doing it himself. He’s the best! We ended up just going with Comcast. It was becoming too much of a hassle to figure out where we were going to get cable and internet from and being’s that we are 400 ft within a telephone phone wasn’t making it an easy decision. With our time ticking we needed our security people to come back up and finish our security system setup and apparently we need internet for that. It’s getting there!!!
Until next time!
